Radar detectors?
#2
Had 1 my GF got me from Cali on a vacation... it went off constantly with false alarms in the city so I ended up basically only using it on 400 series highways. I hated plugging it into the lighter it was a pain in the *** it never saved me even once and after a while I never took it out of my center console. I eventually got caught with it when my car got searched one night in Brampton and I got a 120$ possession of radar detection device ticket. They found it in the console I actually forgot it was there, and now I don't mess with them pain in the ***.. IMO save your money and be smart about where you speed.

ive got an older cobra that doesnt seem to work too well anymore. i havent plugged it in in over a year. either dont speed or make sure you have a car thats fast enough to get away
other thing is, if your doing 150 and suddenly slam the brakse and drop to 100 the cops gonna know something is up and hes gonna search the car, if that does happen put the unit into your pocket or your passangers pocket. they cant search either of you without just cause

They've got pretty advanced ones that are hard wired into the car and are pretty much hidden. They're also undetectable to the radar detector detector. Look at spending upwards of $400US. I personally don't have one, if you find yourself speeding to get somewhere you should have just left 5 min earlier in my opinion. Google it you'll find tons of them. But beware if your caught cops will fine you and destroy the unit too.

Not too sure the brand was, but it was a cheap one Im pretty sure.... Like I said save the money cause i guarantee you wont use it after a short while, pain in the ***. And someone recently told me they've changed the charge its not 120$ anymore I heard its upwards of 600 if your caught with it. But not positive on that.

Bel STI is one of the only ones that works, cops here use spectre 3 or 4 now but basically very few radars detectors can actually bypass it. If you have a radar detector spectre picks up and the cop knows ur using or have it plugged in (bel sti doesn't give off a signal). Get a veil and is legal all it does is absorb laser, the cop gets a reading it just takes him a bit longer to get the readin it's like $40-60 and u paint it on. It's clear (it's pretty much goes on like rain-x)

Your saying that plugging something into the cars cigarette lighter is a PITA?
How hard could it have really been
I agree, be smart where you speed, and don't push the limits. Know some boundaries when playing around. I have no issue with mine, wouldn't give it up(if I don't have to of course). And cheap ones dont save your ***, been there....
