Speaker Questions

Got a questions for you guys.

On speakers, the two terminals are located on the same piece of plastic (?? i tihnk it's plastic). Is this just to hold them? or is there some electrical connection?
I ask this, casue I found some nice speakers for sale, but that piece is broken. here is a pic to better understand what I mean..

Will they still work properly??

yes, it's just there to hold them.. it's actually a non conductive material so that u don't get a short.

but if you connect it, just make sure u tape up the loose one so it doesn't short out, and u'r good to go.

THanks. I'll probably just super glue it.m Just mailed the person asking to make sure that when it broke, it didn't rip out any wires or anything.
