what type of music do you like? Do you want loud or clean? I like the powerbass, db drive, and soundstreams pretty well for a good compromise. Loud go with the MTX, truely good sounding many brands have them Alphasoniks new ones are great

i have Memphis. they rock my socks. not too loud, and plenty of "boom" for just about any type of music (including rap hehe)

The new Alpine Type R's are nice and you cannot go wrong with RE subs.

I have JL Audio, BUT you got to have the right Amplifiers with enough power.
Mine are 5yrs old and they are just like new, I don’t need to buy new ones but if I had to I sure will go with JL
And yep is LOUD

memphis is good, I always recomend listening to some with your own music before buying. If all you want is loud I'll sell you some subs that will play loud (in the proper box of course) are cheap, and really sound like crap. Anything can play loud with teh right box and enough power, few can do it and sound like music
