I just purchased the Rockford Fosgate p8002 amp , and i have a 2000 civic si coupe, i wanted to know what sub is better. iam currently looking at the rockford fosgate p3's , Alpine 12typer, orion sub, or the kaption cl 12 series.

in my presonal opinion orion and kaption suck but thats what i think. personally if i were you stick with rockford p3. alpines do hit hard but not as hard as the rockford would

especially if you havent seen them yet the 2007 model are CRAZY just look at the size of the magnet

You are one of those guys who think that the bigger the magnet the better the speaker, that is not true, there are a lot of better speakers out there that have smaller but better magnets on them. Have you even heard the Kaption or Orion subs to say that they suck?

Have you done a drop-in test with another sub in that application to see how the other sub would find out in your application??

i would say go with the alpine type R
but if you really want to get serious check out the JL W7's to be heard from far. Its kinda pricey but just a suggestion for u.
