Clarion is ok, ive never really had an issue with their products with the exception of about 12 years ago when one of their face off units drove me nuts.

However, in terms of speakers, they have been ok for me in the past.

Ive really be into the audio 'phase' for about 14 years, and ive boughten a lot of gear for different cars. I no longer buy clarion for my cars, more into Boston Acoustics, Polk, and Morel (in my current sq car)

Give Davis a shout, im sure he has something in your budget that will sound mint, besides, he will know what will sound good in your ride.

Yes, Morel is good company.
I had Clarion speakers, but them connected to HU.
I dont like them so much, therefore I ask you.

Clarion makes amazing decks, so I dont know where your coming from. Many dealers will tell you that they are very good bang for the buck and the SQ is great.

had 2 clairion decks, both crap, kept sayin error codes, but that was my experience. i have a JVC now and it is awesome

I know of 3 cases involving clarion decks my mom had one in her van that started to get the error code allowing it to not read cd's, then my friend got one, higher class one for SQ, and the internal amp went in it, I got one in the middle of summer and the internal amp went the second day i had it!

I have a "DXZ958RMC" Touchscreen Clarion Deck. Havn't had a problem with it at all. I play the hell out of it. It has alot of nice features and looks awsome with the brush aluminum face. The back of the deck is just as great, has outputs for highs, mids, and low. 4x53w Internal amp.

Clarion other stuff... ??? havn't owned any of it

Alpine is also nice
