whats a good sub?

i have the alpine mrp-m450 amp...was wondering what would be a good sub to go along with it...just looking for 1 10/12 inch...i was thinking a type r...or just the mtx mzs1004

my amp specs are as follows:

» mono subwoofer car amplifier
» 220 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
» variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave)
» tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB bass boost at 50 Hz)
» subsonic filter (15 Hz, 24 dB/octave)
» MOSFET power supply
» CEA-2006 compliant
» STAR Topology (minimizes internal noise and prevents ground interference)
» speaker- and preamp-level inputs
» gold-plated screw terminals
» fuse rating: 20A x 2
» 8-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
» 9-3/4"W x 2-3/8"H x 9-9/16"D

Any of those subs suggested will be a good choice... just make sure you get a well made box for it.

I picked up an Alpine Type S sub yesterday pretty impressed with it.....you've got a sweet amp ....I'd say the type R would sound sick with ur amp (Dual 4-ohm, then wire the voice coil's in parallel to get ur sub down to 2-ohm to optimize ur amps potential).......good luck.

If you want hard hitting bass than RE, if you want sql than Polk Audio or Eclipse.

Umm, i would strongly disagree with that.

I do like the performance of RE, Kicker Squares and Digital Designs.

I dont think hes trying to earn 10 posts. An RE sub is a great choice, i have 4 of them....

Contact Davis, he can match you up with the perfect sub.
