Thanks Jordy, But this is a hard call without seeing the car, there are so many variables. I would start at the deck and work your way back till you figure out the source of the noise. just make sure all your connections are solid check for resistance on your ground between the connection and the battery, anything above 10 ohms is not a good ground.

Process of elimination.. if you have or can get a spare battery.. (ensure it's charged of course.. ) and wire the amp directly to it.. if it's still there.. it's not the ground.. but something else. Might be easier to have 2 scrap wires from amp to battery then tearing it all apart.. I do the lazy and easy stuff first. then work my way to the hard stuff swearin "Why do I have to take all these @#$@ out?!?!" stuff

Jordy or Sound.. wouldn't a bad ground also cause the ticking sound to rev with the engine also? Or is that from bad alternator? Or something else?

P.S. The ground problem ( IF thats wat it is ) can also be from another ground point thats not related to the audio equipment.

Just my 2 cents.. but I"m no pro at it like the other 2

Also make sure you aren't running your RCAs on the same side of the car as your power...
