XM radio
Kinda hard to explain how but it was kind of a christmas gift from my job. Got it in the mail on thursday and spent the weekend installing it. Pretty straight forward install and looks real clean. Wouldnt have taken me so long to do it cept the rain kept screwing with me and Epic's battery keeps dying. Sucks too cuase i activated it and sent my first service payment ($12.95 monthly which aint bad) but its raining so i cant even lissen to it yet. I'll take pics of it once it stops raining.

Not a XM owner, but a Sirius owner. Virt. the same setup.
Heres what I did. I ran a 16ft. cable from my dash all the way to my trunk. Then I used some velcro on the antenna and velcroed it to the plastic rear panel. Not noticable at all and it's out of the way
. No problems on reception. I've had mine for like seven months. LOVE IT!! And yes it is like listening to cd quality music.
My fav. part is what they can put on the screen of the radio. Before with old radio, you got just the station numbers (ie. 105.9, 98.5, etc...). Now it shows sports scores, name of the song.. artist... year, name of the station, channel number, phone number to call the station, and what ever else the DJ felt like typing in to display. Depending on your setup, you can get all that on one screen. My other fav. thing is the no beeping of curse words. I know it's kinda childish, but I can't stand to hear things get beeped out, esp. in a song!!
The difference between the two is the amount of music over famous people doing talk radio. I've heard XM offers more talk radio. And others say Sirius offers more music selection. I dunno. And yes Howard was a nice bonus to going with Sirius
.
Some pics...

I installed mine a little differant than that. My XM has it's own head unit (would have liked to run it threw my Kenwood screen but couldnt figure out how) and the antena is nicly mounted on the trunk lid right between the stripes. It's a nice look IMO. The box is under the passenger seat next to the kenwood's box and you cant see a wire. Very clean. I'll get pics up here as soon as i can. But.... Epic's battery is dead. I'm waiting on a new one before i can move her.

Goto www.sirius.com. All the info is there. You can even sign up as a guest and listen to some of the stations. If you get a subscription, you can listen to all the stations. Sirius charges $12.99 a month and half that for additional units. A friend hooked me up and added me to his account and I only pay the $6.99 a month
. It rocks!!
