Dual lights question....

Hey I've heard that T/A owners can mod they'er cars to have both the High beams and the Lows on at the same time. How is this done and is it possible to do the same for a Camaro? Might be a neat mod to try to do.

It's possible, don't ask me how though. I wanted to do that awhile ago and mount lowbeams in place of the highbeams so I'd have 4 lowbeam lights.

Yeah, it's possible, just search for the all lights mod on LS1tech, but make sure you replace your hi beams with low beams. I'll probably be doing it before too long, I just don't feel like drilling out those housings for silverstars again :/ heh.

No I want the highs and lows on at the same time when I switch on the high beams. Not the other way around. Hope that makes sense.

i know, it's called the all light mod. But what i'm telling you is that you can't leave your brights on all the time or people will get severely pissed and you'll blind everyone. You have to change your high beams to low beams so you don't blind everyone on the road and cause accidents.

there is another mod that turns all 4 on only when the high beams are on.I know for teh full size trucks there is a kit made, I wonder if it is adaptable. Also why would you want all on with low beams? That eliminates high beams completely, andf if you have inspection it fails.

so then you wouldn't have any high beams at all? Makes lots of sense to me. With my year Camaro, my lows stay on with my highs and that doesn't cause a problem. What he wants is for his lows to stay on while his highs are on. There's nothing that should **** people off or blind them, or cause accidents, about that, when many other cars on the road are made to do that factory.

I ran across instructions on another forum, it was either ls1tech or a georgia fbody forum (which is gone now). I don't remember where it was.

All you have to do for the foglights is jump the wire on the foglight relay under the hood. The switched power lead- I believe its labeled wire 87A- is the one that shuts off the power to the fogs when the high beams are on. Eliminate the switch leg and the lights will stay on. And NOBODY better argue (ARCH!!!) with me because I did it to my car and it worked perfectly, have not had a single problem with it. Only took a couple minutes to do too and yes, it does make a difference, you get the light right in front of the car, light way out from the highs and light off to the side with the fogs, best set up IMO..

The only thing to watch is in most states havin the high, low and fog on all at the same time is too much wattage and thus is illegal, but I don't think it should be a problem for most people..just dim your lights with oncoming traffic!!
