Exterior Door Panels

My door panels on my 94 Z28 seem to be coming apart from my interior panels. (Both only are coming apart where the door meets the rear of the car.) There is a Camaro shop about 7 miles from me and the guy there told me they make some special glue for the problem, I called the dealership like he said, they have no idea what he's talking about, and or don't understand my problem over the phone for some reason. The guy at the Camaro place told me this was a common thing on an old 4th gen Camaro. There are also Camaros I have seen that seem to have a protective seal to prevent this, granted the seals are ugly and I would probably never use them, I would like to fix my doors.

Any ideas on what this glue is, what this problem is, or another way to fix it?

my first suggestion

I would ask that you try and take a picture of the issue so that everyone can get a visual understanding of your problem. I'm pretty sure that I know what you are talking about (seen it on a buddies of mine) but it would make it better/easier for everyone else to ensure you get a legitimate response.

I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about- I would just take it to the shop and since he knows about the glue, then have him order it for you.

I don't know if normal epoxy would work, I would go more with some type of flexible adhesive to hold it together.
