Got the hood back on...finally!
After a couple of months of refiberglassing, priming, sanding, and other various massaging, the hood is finally back on and looks good now...for the time being at least, until some more bubbles pop up in it from being in the sunlight. Didn't get a chance to take any pics w/ the digital camera after I cleaned it up and claybarred from the doors back because it got dark, and I had class earlier. I'll try to wipe any dust off tomorrow and take some good pics. Anyway here are some shots before, during, and after paint. Turning out really good IMO because I had them repaint the hood and the front bumper cover (because it looked a little rough before), and they burned the the paint into the front fenders, so that everything matches. Oh and sorry for the crappy pics...all I had was my phone.

Thanks guys for the compliments! I hope it works out better this time too lol. Um...the color code came up in the computer as Cayenne Red Metallic. I've already forgot what the code was...

Well, it's also on your door sticker too. You just have to know which is for paint...and I don't, but they did obviously (this is the one I forgot like a 4 digit code). Thanks for the little piece of info...I learned something new lol.

Thanks guys! Yeah...there was no bleeding on the wheels because the covers they had were really heavy duty, so no probs there. No overspray either because we spent a long *** time taping it up for paint. The body shop is the one I've mentioned before (my dad is really good friends w/ the owner) and he (the owner) actually did the work this time himself, not one of the other ppl working there (he takes his time and really does a good job). He really hasn't given me a price yet because we are still pending a check from the company that sold me the hood, but he said prob not over $100 laber, materials, and all. He actually almost painted the whole front clip, so it was easily around two pints of paint, and he put 3 coats of clear (well over 2 pints) just to make me happy . It turned out very slick...much, much better than before. Seriously like a 115% improvement in person.
