Get the first one you posted.. out of all the ones posted it would be the best for you.... regular ss is boring and overdone, you already did the cowl, the big block is too similar to the ss, and the 'stinger' big block doesn't look right on that style of camaro to me, not real big on the ultra-z....of course, I'm always partial to the double vision, but I like being the only one here with it.. :D

but if I ever get an 98-02 Camaro, I know what I hood I am getting.. the Mecham. Ditto if I ever get a 98-02 Firebird... I love the styling of them... that or I want to get a custom hood done that I have been designing/thinking about....

Drake 02-15-2005 12:11 AM

The Mecham hood is still my favorite, despite the lack of quality I keep hearing about.....

I really don't like the "Stinger" hood on the 98-02, but it looks hot on the 93-97. I like the "Big Block" on that Grant posted......but like you said, I'd needs to see a pic of it installed.

I guess the VFN one would look alright if you paint it like the way the SOM has it.....

Mike Jones 02-15-2005 12:16 AM

I'm going to contact VFN about making a 2" SS hood instead of the 3" SS hood they sell. I'll let you know what they say.

FORCE_FED_Z 02-15-2005 12:17 AM

get that hood chad...it looks the best!

p.s.- I purposefully so that whatever hood you thought about first you would get-

camaro94 02-15-2005 12:22 AM

oh no, get the 3".. it looks so good that high!

me, too the Mecham, and the Double Vision Ram Air are my favorite hoods for Camaros, and the Mecham and the various versions the Ram-Air are my favorite for the Firebird....

W/ the scoop being black like you said are you going to bring that all the way back like a stripe? Or are you just leaving it at the scoop? I think the full stripes would look kinda neat, I just can't really get a picture in my mind right now.. hmm
