Hood grill ideas.

I need a grill for my SS hood, the one that I ordered from RKsport doesnt come with one and i dont like how it looks without one. So instead of buying the 60 dollar one (biggest ripoff EVER) anyone got any ideas on what i can use instead? Maybe some type of material I can get from home depot or something

you can get many types of mesh from there. Diamond pattern, whatever. Depends on how creative you are. Do you ever plan on getting a grille for the front? If I had that hood, and was going to do a billet grille, I'd just spring for the RKsport hood grille, though.

i'd pay the $50 its listed for on the site, yes. It's the little things that help make a car what it is. I actually wish they'd made a form of them for my hood. It would tie in very well with a billet grille. I doubt you can go to a department store and get much mesh, but a hardware/home improvement store, you should have some luck there.

is there any of it open, where you can see the pattern of the mesh? Different meshes have different patterns.

check out spinner premium designs. I think they have an SS hood insert that's mirror or chrome or something.

ram air is never functional(most cars actually get slower with a ram air hood since it has higher drag) the opening is at a point where pressure is low if you want fresh air cowl is the only one that works (watch wind tunnel tests and you can see the phenomenon)
