I'm for the Ultra-Z, too. But only because I am so against SS hoods.

These are the only hoods that look good on a 98+ Camaro, other than a SS hood.

ZL1 hood (very similar to a SS, only less round).

Harwood.

Wish this existed...

The Mecham hood (my personal fav.).

Fixed the typo...

Those last 3 pictures are not an ultra-z hood. Its the mecham... Ultra-z's dont have the heat extractors in the back..

This is a ultra-z..

Oops, my bad. Got the two mixed . I keep thinking it's the Ultra-Z hood.

The one with the tribal is a mecham hood.. From what I hear they are very poorly made. Don't fit right, crack, and such..

Its made by SLP which also made the stock SS hood, so I think the fit on the ultra-z's are pretty good..

I've heard that too!! Wonder how bad it flexes or cracks from use. I would like to get my hands on one and wonder if it's possible to work on it to strengthen it to keep from getting stressed.

None that I've heard. So far only good things have been said. Unless you don't like the design .
