Well I just got my clear corners in the mail today and I was really happy to get them. But as soon as I started to try to take the bolts off from under the front of the car, my hopes dropped. First none of the bolts would come off, because #1: they are rusty and #2: the plastic wont hold the bolts tight enough to be able to use a wrech to get them off. Well I couldnt get any of them off after using rust remover and everything else I could think of. So I ended up giving one of them as much power as I had and I ended up busting a nice chunk of plastic off where the screw is.
Anyway, I was just wondering if there is something I am missing on how to remove these panels or an eaiser way to put them in??? I'm really dissapointed right now, cause I was really looking forward to getting these on my car.

I took off both sides of plastic under the bumper on my car just to make things easier to work on. I had to take the driver side off to give the air filter enough air to breath and I figured since the other side was off anyway when I redid the bumper I might as well leave it off.

You might be able to pull it away enough by the wheel well to spray some penetrant on the top of the bolts to try and get them to break free. Worse case is you break them all and have to get some new ones and relocate them.

Yea, I tryed the rust dissolver stuff after pulling it down like you said, but that didnt help at all.

Its not uncommon for them to rust, and not uncommon at all to have them break since rusted bolts are stronger than the plastic that holds them in.

I would say then your best case would be to just carefully take/break them out and then get some new ones to replace them. Its about your only option I think...you cant use any heat or you might end up warping the bumper..

Yea, the problem is though is that I'm not breaking the screw or clip bolt thingy. I'm breaking the plastic bumper and I dont want to have to replace that.

Its underneath anyway, its just crappy because of the rusty bolts around it. Im pretty about breaking things, but I took this with a grain of salt because its a tiny piece that will never be noticed.

The only other option I can think of is breaking the lower piece off around the bolts and then either leave it off or try and get another one to replace it. Once those pieces are off you can get right at those bolts and see what you can do then.

I think I tried to do that when I had this problem and it was hard as ****. I dindt use any tools tho.
