Interior Paint
Well, I've painted and reupholstered my door panels, and now I'm just waiting for glue and paint to dry (which is maddening, lol). Only problem is, the paint on my handles is still tacky. I used a primer, and Rustoleum plastic paint, which is what I used on all the other parts. Since I was sick and unable to work on it, it's been sitting 2 days and is still tacky, so..... any reccomendations?

ahh, thought it was some sort of technical thing that I just had no idea about, lol.
This is my first mod to a car ever, so I'm screwin up all over the place I'm sure. It's looking pretty good, but I'm having a hell of a time with the paint as you know already, and with getting the parts to stay in place long enough for the glue to take. Oof, this ain't as quick a job as I had hoped! Well, I'm sure if I were to do it again, I would do a lot differently and probably be done by now though
(date tomorrow, getting desperate for some door panels )

Yeah, I know. Pics are on my sister's comp which has decided to not start. I'll get some.
I went out and got some 3m 90 spray adhesive over the 77, and it seems to be working better. No one at any of the stores I visited has any advice for paint for rubber, so I guess I'll just give it another day or two of dry time, lol.

****, you're from MI aren't you? If it's anything as humid by you as it is here in Sterling Heights, that's the problem. You need a lower humidity day for the paint, the moisture in the air will keep the paint wet. When I did the reupholstered door panels & painted interior, the only spot I had a problem with was my center console's lid (Which I'm going to be carbon fibering on my own in a couple weeks, tehehe), I painted it when it was kinda humid out and that just ruined it. Also, make sure you're not using really heavy coats -- sometimes if you use too heavy of a coat, then the bottom coat won't dry properly and it'll cause the layers ontop of it to get funky. I'd say give it a few more days, try to keep it in a dry and cool place as possible, if you have a window that has sun shining in most of the day, try putting it infront of the window or somewhere that the sun can bake the paint but still stay dry from the outside humidity. Worst case, you might have to strip what paint you can off and do it again with lighter coats (but again, bro, if you're in michigan with how humid it is right now you wouldn't have good results unless you painted it inside your house)
