Yes that is a good Idear I allways thought it would of been better with some sort of cloth over it. I'm not modding my car right now its been in hibernation for quite awhile. Maybe when I get back to the mods I will hit you up for it.

Here's the drivers side trunk panels wrapped in the leather. It came out great, and was easier than I thought it would be. It did take longer than I thought though... Now I've gotta let it sit for 72hrs then in the car it goes! Hopefully I can finish the rest of the pieces within a week

what adhesive are you using? I've been thinking of doing this in my 3rdgen for about 3 years now, but I've been hesitant because I'm not confident in adhesive. Especially when it gets warm out and the sun is beating on it. The panel you did looks great.

I get it from a local high quality automotive / marine upholstery shop and it's what they use. I'm going to be selling all the materials and pre-cut leather separate and also a kit that includes everything at a discounted price. So you could just buy a quart or two by itself when your ready Thank you

Here's some pics of the passenger side trunk panel I just finished. It takes about 45-60mins a panel to cover... Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get started on the rear sail panels
BTW, I had a square section cut out of the bottom of my panel to begin with, that's why there's a loose looking area there

Here's the passenger side sail panel. This one took about 2x longer than the others did because it's so large and curvaceous but came out really nice The sail panels' are definitely the toughest part of the job. The only trouble area is the bottom part that is covered by the rear seats, so it doesn't matter. BTW, my speaker grill is painted that's why it's so glossy.
