My side exhaust project

I really haven't gotten much done on my side exhaust. I work like 60hrs a week as does my brother and we don't work the same schedule so we don't get much time to work on it together.
Anyways what does everyone think of these tips?

if they are the repro ones the chrome sucks on them (one of my trade magazines had an article about them) theey are real wavy, and discolor fast.

2Poor4Z is an unknown quantity at this point
i think unless you work the tips into the body or a set of sideskirts like on the roushed stangs it looks going to look funny no matter what tips you put on it but i could be wrong..

GRANT.. break out the photoshop

i like em, but if i had your car id go with black powdercoated, i dont know just seems like there isnt a whole lot of bling and that will just throw things off a lil IMO

I've thought about that as well.

With these tips the exhaust would be under the car with just the tips showing.
But I have thought about have the pipes run down the side of the car like the Corvette's had and if I did that I was going to have the pipes powdercoated black.

I thought you were going to be putting Ground Effects on your car Chad?? Running the pipes down the side would prevent that. Even though I am sure you already thought about that. I like those tips though. I am looking for some tips like that for my custom CME project coming up here pretty quick. Mmmmmm.....

I'm still thinking of doing that but I always go back and forth until I actually place the order.

I think it would look good with the sideskirts, and the tips inside the skirt, or with the pipes like corvettes... either way i think you could pull off and it would look nice... Maybe Ill attempt a ps, or talk to Adric.. Im interested in seeing what it will look like both ways

The real question I have is if I'll ever want gfx or not. I just ordered som 3pt subframe connectors and I'm talking to a guy who's selling me his cam, which I'll install some 4.10's at the same time to take advantage of it. So basicly I won't have a lot of money for a long time after that since my wife's college is so expensive. That and I think once I paint my hood the car will look really, really good as is.

Chad I wanna give you a heads up on your exhaust...
I believe Wisconsin law for exhaust is has to exit to the rear of the car.
But im not to sure on it, it may only effect the cars that have to take emissions.

Just giving you a heads up before you cut up some parts.

Ive always had the idea of side exhaust in the back of my head, and i always thought stock z28 tips would look nice, but those challenger ones look sweet too imo. If I could do what I wanted I would have true duals out the back with e-cutouts dumping into side exhaust, but i dont think theres enough room underneath my car to do it with subframes.
