New interior project
I know, I didn't finish the carPC yet and here I am starting a new project... I'm almost ready to scrap the carPC because I can't get the LCD or touchscreen working, but anyway check out a sneak peak at my new project that I just started.

Carbon fiber, that piece specifically is the driver side window switch trim. The passenger side only has one layer on it, the driver has it's second coat on it right now.

this piece was 1000x harder, the material I used for the console lid is wider AND thin, so it was REALLY easy to screw up the weave, I actually took a couple tooth picks and fixed a few areas, still no where near perfect, but for a first attempt I think I can handle how it looks.

lol well I did buy it off ebay, it's a 50" by 48" of real carbon fiber (atleast the auction says that much). I'm definitely not saying this is a "carbon fiber piece" or anything. It's just wrapped in carbon fiber, and then covered in clear resin. It's actually really easy to do (atleast thus far) just the worst part will be wet sanding it down. My console lid is why I decided to do this... since the paint was really getting bad (I purposefully don't have any pictures to show for it) and horrid, I needed to do something different.. tada this is different. And the resin will make the lid stronger... so my elbow leaning on it won't warp it like it was doing.
Edit: But **** seriously, fiberglass or real carbon fiber... this **** ******* gets in your skin. I was wearing latex gloves the entire time, and I'm still in itchy pain all over my fingers
