New Wheels

I've been looking at getting some new wheels for a long time now. I've just never really found what I wanted and what I was willing to spend my money on. Well I guess good things come to those that wait. Jesse is upgrading his wheels(he can tell you what he's getting) so I'm buying his Smoothie II's off him.
The wheels are 17x8's up front and 17x10's in the back. I already talked some local shops and as soon as I get the wheels the tires are coming off and they are going in to get the spokes powder coated black. So they'll have the same style as my ZR1's but instead of paint they'll be done right. I'm thinking I'll keep the ZR1's for when I just want to drive the car around and put the Smootie's on when I really want the car to look good.

In case you don't know what they look like: (Check out that rear lip)

Click on these pictures to make them larger.

I liked his as well but I like the looks of the Smoothie II's more than the Torque Thrust II's myself. They are a little different so they'll stand out more and the lip on them(especially the rear wheels) is just perfect.

Yup, can't wait.

I also really looking into buying the C5 brake upgrade to help fill these wheels in. I would get the Z06 calipers as they come from the factory in that bright red. I would love to have both the brakes and these wheels done for the spring cruise.

I have no doubt I'll put them on right away if anything just to see what they look like but I agree. Even not powder coated they'll look good but with the dark red and blacks on my car I think they need the dark spokes.
