why not try going to a junk yard and see how different the stock pillars are, may give you an idea if it will be workable (and won't cost anything if they let you into the yard)

What do you mean how different they are? I tried it with mine and the 98+ ones... not even close, the only reason being that the gauges pod area is too low, it would actually hit the dash before it fit correctly.
