No the tires are fine. Trust me, it'd look a lot better if i had inner fender wells.

Yah this poll is starting to make me realize it might be a little over board. Idk. I keep running this idea threw my head now and again and at times i do so like it. What ever the poll says on Monday moring is what I'm going with once an for all.

Get it together and drive it as is for a while, if you want a change add the black (I personally don't like it but it is your car after all)

Get it together and drive it for a while? I have been. for quite a few weeks now. Thats why I am thinking about this. The mob bug never sleeps with me... but maybe it's time to squish it under my foot for a while.

Easier said than done. I dont have them. Haven't since the acident. No mater, not one of my major priorites.

Well it's Monday morning and the votes show 10 to 7 aginst so I'm going to put this idea to rest. I appreciate the input. Just makes me wonder - have I gone just as far as I can with Epic's outsides?

IMO, one of the best appearance mods that you could do is buy some inner fenders and put them on. It makes the wheels look tiny and being able to see through your car detracts from the awesome look.

i would leave the outside alone and either get another car or do some major upgrade on the engine, of course if money permits

I would have to say get inner fenders first. I honestly thought you had donuts on the front, the wheels look WAY too tiny.

And yes, I think you completed epic after you got her painted. Mod the engine now.

Grant- I mean this purely as my opinion an mine only- I personally think that your car is should be considered done red/black wise. It looks good now, but too much more and I think that you will be on the verge of being "over-done" I would hate to see all your efforts become a laughing stock for other people because there is too much going on.

Personally- If it were my car there are two things left appearance-wise I would do. Put in some lowering springs and get some bigger wheels, only with a silver or small chrome lip. I think a set of 18" or possibly 19" junkyard dog wheels with black spokes would look killer on your car. I know you like the red/black theme, but personally I think the red on the wheels is a little much.

Of course this is all my opinion and mine only, but you asked for some input so I gave some...hope it wasn't too much for you-

Lowering is outa the question. I'd KILL the ground effects in a matter of days. Unless I had a million dollars and decided to bag her thats not going to happen.

New wheels arent' something I was planning on. I like the C5s. And I like the red lip. Seriously, are the inner wheel wells that important? At $50 a pop on Ebay i dont see a need for it. I'd much rather start hunting down the back seat.

Ok, so hypothetically speaking, i have 17x8.5 on the front and 18x9.5 on the rears... what size tires SHOULD I be running?

I'd be runnin 245/45 in the front and prol a 285/35 in the rear....that should be pretty close to stock diameters...you could prol also get away with a 275/40 which would be slightly bigger to fill up your wheel wells..

I didn't realize you had so much trouble with your GFX- I figure in Cali your roads are a lot smoother than they are up in WNY

There's only two things I would do to the exterior if it was my car.
First thing would be to do the LS1 or Corvette front brake conversion. The LT1 brakes are just way to small.
Second thing would be to lower it, it'll make the wheels not look so small. I know you're worried about it being to low and believe me, I know what it's like to drive a low car.
Here's my '94 to give you an idea:

Now take a look at my ypipe on the '99:

As long as you learn to drive it with it low it's really not that bad and I wouldn't bring my car back up to stock hight for anything. The car just looks so much better lowered.

But it's your car so whatever you like best do.

Not meaning to highjack your thread but.. Chad do you have a high res of that pic of your 99?

I agree that the lowered look does look a lot better than the stock height, I plan on lowering the formula eventually. And the roads back home are horrible in PA back home. Like chad said as long as you careful and get used to it, it wont be a problem.
