I just think that if you look at a car with black rims while its rolling it looks like theyre running just the steel behind hubcaps. Looks really trashy. While standing still from far away....same thing. They just dont look even close to how good chrome or silver or polished look.

My car is black and red EVERYWHERE. If the only thing on the car that was chrome was the wheels i think that seriously would have looked off. Dont you think?
Have you ever seen my wheels while they were moving? They dont look a thing like steelies. Quite the oposite, they almost looked liek they weren't even there. All you could see was rotor and caliper. It's awsome. At a stand still how could you say they look like steelies? I've never seen 18" steel wheels before that you could see the breaks threw.

I'm with you on this one, Grant. There is a place and purpose for black, gunmetal,etc.. wheels. And Chrome does not always lok better. Hell, even the special T/A collector's edition came with black wheels on it.

Oh and another thing... i never said black wheels go on every car. Yours for one probably shouldnt since you have the clear corners and that little chome bowtie on the fender and the silver fill-ins but just for s#!ts and grins i did this and i think it looks good.

grant i know ya got the whole black n red theme goin on, but the black doesnt stand out. the chrome y2ks would really shine. i mean, isnt that what cars are supposed to do? shine?

and when the chrome wheels are spinning you still see the brakes but the wheels shine makes it looks like a force field is guarding your precious red calipers
