Chad makes a very good point......BUT,.....that's only because we don't love it enough. Like aaronrtacy stated...."I love it".....and that doesn't even come close to describing how Jeff feels about it. He actually "LIVES" for it. He's passionate about it. There is absolutely nothing in the world he'd rather be doing, than making his favorite objects look fantastic.

When it comes to advancement....he's learning to new things almost everyday. He chops roofs, channels bodies over frames, builds chassis's, welds, paints, custom interiors, builds motors, does suspension work......he does it all, and it all started with doing bodywork for Maaco 15 years ago. With the advancements he made,....his new boss started him at $30.00 an hour to prove himself.......and in 6 months, his boss is already talking about retireing and having Jeff run his business.

But,....like I said to begin with, you have to absolutely live for that kind of thing in order to make it your lifes work. He actually wants to use my car as a guinee pig to try all these different things he's been wanting to do, if I just buy the materials.......but man oh man, his ideas are way too time consuming. I can't be without my car for more than a few days or I'd take him up on his once in a life time offer.

Don't feel too bad about your hood... almost all aftermarket hoods come with instructions to 'test fit prior to paint' theres a reason for it..

The two that I have had weren't perfect but with enough tweaking around you should be able to get it pretty good, esp if your guy is that good..

Good luck, it should look pretty good when it comes out..now you just need to start some mods under the hood as well..

Yeah....this is the second aftermarket hood I've bought as well. The first one wasn't near as bad as this one, but as mentioned.....my buddy works wonders with fiberglass.

There's actually a Company called: Glass-Tech that does hoods, and when you get their hoods.....they come in a black coating that's very shiny, which allows you to see every little defect. I think they do that because there really aren't any.....they're almost ready to paint right out of the box. They cost you a little more....but in the long run, you actually pay less....unless you're a bodyman. Best hood I've seen anywhere.....

As far as modding the engine, it's killing me not to dump every last penny into it. 95% of my old cars were Street/Strip cars....BUT, with all the injuries I've sustained over the last 10 years, I'm now on disability.... which doesn't really allow me to do as much work on my cars, or pay what it takes to maintain a high-horse power car. I'm sure sometime in the future it will happen, but for now, with it only having 21,300 miles on it, it has to remain my daily driver.
