Too much?
So pending the return of my email to DG Motorsports and the photochop in the graphics section, I might be purchasing the carbon fiber ZL1 scoop. I'm imagining I'm going to have to cut the back of it to make it fit right on a hood with louvers... I doubt they thought about the louvers when they made these, because they ARE listed for 93-96.
So I'm guessing it will kinda look like the VFN style hood where ya have the louvers and then the cowl in the middle, only in this case it'll be a scoop. My question, though, leave or get rid of the stripes? I'm thinking the stripes *might* (I need to visually see it, in my head everything always looks ok lol) look ok with the scoop.. if it comes out the way I think it would then it'd almost look like the stripes are coming down the sides kinda like Grant's. So if I get this scoop, what should I do? Leave the stripes on, customize them if needed... Remove the stripes... Don't do the scoop.. |

i'd redo the stripes in carbon fiber to match the scoop then have em wrap around the scoop. actually i wouldnt even get a scoop. i'd get a real hood.

yeah I'm going to get a new hood, but in the mean time this would be a cheap alternative to tide me over.

because do you know how long it'd take me to save up over a grand to buy a carbon fiber hood? I wouldn't have it until like 2010-2015.

then dont get a carbon fiber hood, get a used cowl or SS or whatever hood you want just not carbon fiber and if you need to get a used one then so be it. its not like a used one will not function improperly, as long as its clean and not dented or ne thing.
