-its your car..do what you want- next time how about just sayin " I am going for this look- what do you guys think- then just post the photochop- I beat you might have gotten a little different response.

There are some things that you can cut some corners on- but there are those that you can't. But its totally up to you don't forget-

Yeah, I think a lot of people were taking it the wrong way about half assing it or cutting corners. I didn't think that a bolt on would look that bad (aside from the conflict with the vents, hence why I requested a photochop in the graphics forum..) figuring it'd just look like a scoop version of the VFN cowl hood.

The reason I was going with the bolt on is because it made more sense than to buy the whole hood. The only reason I would buy the carbon fiber hood is to have a carbon fiber scoop. So if a bolt on is going to look exactly like the real thing (atleast I thought it would) it would make more sense to buy just the scoop than to buy a whole hood to then just have to paint all of it except the scoop just to get the same exact finished product. $150 over $1100.

But, the main reason why I'm agreeing not to do it is because Arch said it wouldn't fit right, that was my biggest concern.

Secondly, leaving carbon fiber carbon fiber is not ricer. Me buying a carbon fiber scoop to bolt on isn't a "wanna be go fast" item... it's 100% for looks. I don't flaunt my car's muscle, hell I rarely ever street race. My car's 100% show, and carbon fiber fits perfectly with my car's theme.

nah, it wouldn't be cheaper to buy a hood it'd be cheaper to get the bolt-on scoop because I bolt it on and I'd be all done.
