oh ok man im just saying this cause i have gotten ripped off by buying a truck that had the vins changed...so i do know a lil about it all...first off if the 5th number is a k the vin is out of a 4wd..if not its a 2 wd...if its a barcode vin out of a 90-95----barcode with numbers and a line at the bottom 96-98 and in 99 when they changed over i dunno...secondly if u glove box doesnt match the vin on ur dash ...no good...or the firewall...or under the alternator...bad bad...and well lets not start on other parts..the tranny.....2 tags on it from the original truck it came from....im not trying to start anything im just letting ppl know from experiance how not to get ****ed...im not saying ur truck is ..a re-vin im just telling ppl what to do to look for..also if the rivets on the serial plate r not flower shaped....bad!

rivets depend on what company made the car... eagle is just a circle with a little line along part of the lip, chev is flower, aand i think vw is just a regular plain rivit... cant remember if its black or silver....but even then, it is not illegal 2 swap the dash... ppl swap them all the time.. crx dash into a civic hatch is really common. or if yer dash gets ripped or something
