2005 Cobalt SS (Durham/GTA AREA)

Ok.. I am thinking about selling my 05 Cobalt SS.... It's got alot of toys and add-ons.. I am looking for someone to take over my lease and hopefully get as little bit of money back on some of the stuff I got. I have enough stuff on the car to hopefully get some money back.. The car payments are $411/month on a 4 yr lease. The car has a 80,000/yr. Extended warrenty. The buy back in 4 years is only $10,000 which is really cheap compared to some other buy backs on other car.. Here is the info on the car

Car (stock)

Yellow with yellow interior inserts (stock leather)
17,650km
2.0L Supercharged Ecotec
18" Gunmetal rims
5 Speed
Sunroof
Sport Shocks and Struts
Big Spoiler
10" Pioneer Subwoofer with Pioneer System
Express Down Drivers Window
(for full specs check out www.gmcanada.com)

Extras

B&M Shifter ($250 part - 5-6 months old)
Eibach Sportlines ($650 installed... new in April)
RK Sport Fiberglass Hood (approx $850 painted yellow. New In April)
Compustar Remote Start/Alarm Pager Combo - ($1000 alarm.. New In April)
Winter Tires and Rims - ($1400... New This Winter)
Tire Storage Stand ($50. New This Winter)
Painted headlights (comes with spare stock set.. $200 worth for painted lights)
Center Console - $130 part
Middle Lower Grill - $100

So as you can see I have invested in extras about $4730 worth of stuff.. I would like to see some money back.. I think about $4000 if fair.. Considering most of this stuff is new this month..

If you are interested.. Please don't hesitate to Email ME!!!! . You can also call me on my cell phone 905-999-0448. My name is Jonathan..

Please don't ruin my thread by bashing if you don't like it.. Then please keep your comments to yourself..

For pictures you can go

Set 2

Thanks

BUMP

There is about $7000 invested into this now... Since this post, I had added

- GM Stage 2
- Smaller Pulley (not installed)

I need to sell this ASAP.....

Give me offers.. I think $4000 is still fair.. Considering I have like $7000 into it..

just want to make sure, "$411/month on a 4 yr lease"? is it really a lease or financing?

The car looks sweet and the price is not bad($411),they only problem is the $4000 you want for someone take over your lease payments.I know you put so much stuff in to the car! but I just can't justify the $4000

The mods that are done to it where they done by the dealer? I know if the dealer does the install the warranty isnt voided?

The warrenty isn't voided no matter where the kit is installed.. As far as I know...

But never the less my kit was bought and installed at Golden Mile, so you wouldn't need to worry.. Since that's a GM dealer..

midrange will become famous soon enough
k.. first off.. if everone has something to say neg about it.. pm him instead of trashing his thread.

secondly, in four years, the used vehicle package probably will not say its worth 10,000.. but it might.. cobolts are still kinda new and havn't been out for 4 years, so we won't know yet.

thirdly, the 4000 or whatever it is your looking for you might as well forget if you want someone to take this.. you have to bend over and take it up the *** for what you have into it.. WHile you were paying it, you were using it, and you might as well consider that money gone. if payments were not involved, then it would be different.. its just a suggestion.

lastly, who ever said they paid 26000 for their car, was that including tax because what this guy is paying on is the tax added on as well.. i think. never leased, but i think they add the tax on and they devide your payments from that.

either way, good luck on the sale.. why are you getting rid of it?

Thanks Mid...

Yeah I know I might have to take the hit for the $7000 grand I put into it. But there is lots of people interested outside of this site.. If I can get money for the mods I would rather have that.. But if that doesnt happen then I might just bend over for it.. I am ready for that to happen...

Your right about the taxes.. They are added on with the lease payments.. And also the buyout price of this car currently is $22,246.85 until May 07.. That pricer also includes the taxes.. So ya tax is added already on either the lease payments (407/month no more tax on that) or the buyout price above which is tax already in the price..

I am selling to get a 2007 Silverado or Sierra Crew Cab... Or maybe a 2004 Lifted Sierra Extended Cab... I would rather have a truck now... I am into construction work (I will be ending up being a machine operator and sites get muddy so a truck is best suited for that type of work) plus when I get a dirtbike or 4 wheeler.. I will have a truck to haul it..

Thanks for the post man.
