FS: Mint and Tastefully Modded 1994 Golf

1994 Volkswagen Golf
4 door 5 speed
Mileage: 233,XXXkms.
Colour: Tornado Red (LY3D)
Price: $4500 o.b.o.

Details:
Car is in mint condition, no rust anywhere (not even the hatch), paint shines beautifully, only minor dings. Perfect engine swap candidate. Car has brand new exhaust system from manifold to tip and was just certified in January. Just took car for 6000km road trip and it performed magically returning 6L/100km – only used ˝ litre of oil on the trip as well. A/C has been recharged and blows cold. Comes with summer rims/tires (Orlandos) as well as snows on steelies with hubcaps. Car runs and drives like new – suspension is still tight, steering is tight as well. Items for certification include re-installation of spoiler (high mount brake light) and it needs plate lights – other than that it is good to go.

Car also comes with a spare complete 2L engine with 143,000kms on it that has been p&p’ed and is running a 268 cam – the only item needed for installation is a new manifold/downpipe – I was planning on turboing the 2L and installing in the fall. This car has been in my family since day one – I sold it 3 years ago and recently purchased it back from the guy who bought it from me. Car has been exceptionally reliable and has been impeccably maintained.

Exterior mods:
Mattig badgeless grille
Hella MkIV-look lights with PIAA bulbs
Hella smoked side marker lenses
Kamei Air Ducts in front bumper
GTI sideskirts
Rear spoiler removed (but included in sale)
Body coloured side mouldings
Euro VR6 chin spoiler (cracked)

Suspension:
Weitec 60/40 kit (springs/struts)
Factory steelies with hubcaps mounted with Pirelli snows
14” Orlando alloys

Interior:
Headliner and carpets in great shape
Tinted windows
Black leather seats from 1998 GTI VR6 – rear seats have 60/40 split
GTI “Golf Ball” shift **** with leather boot with red stitching
Audi TT pedals
Kenwood CD player
Keyless entry with aftermarket alarm and remote starter

Pictures:

NOTE: Car no longer has gaudy chrome rims, long fog/turn set-up, or Altezza tails.
