Will it cause my check engine light to come on and is it a good low budget upgrade

What exactly did you do to it? That would help us help you out a lil.

i doubt it would throw a code. I think youre better off with an aftermarket system if youre talking sound wise.

It is completely stock (I got the exhaust for $30 couldn't pass it up:)

for 30, id say its a good deal... its an upgrade from stock.

Just doing the cat-back wont throw a code, you dont have anything to worry about. go for it.

Go for it, it's better flowing than your stock exhaust but it won't really compare to most of the aftermarket catbacks. But then again for $30 you can't go wrong.

Just dont forget to disconnect the battery, you should be fine without trippin a code

its a catback wont throw a code...
you may need a diffrent intermediate pipe welded up
but you should be fine

hell, I did headers back and mine never threw a code.
