Will it cause my check engine light to come on and is it a good low budget upgrade

i doubt it would throw a code. I think youre better off with an aftermarket system if youre talking sound wise.

It is completely stock (I got the exhaust for $30 couldn't pass it up

Go for it, it's better flowing than your stock exhaust but it won't really compare to most of the aftermarket catbacks. But then again for $30 you can't go wrong.

its a catback wont throw a code...
you may need a diffrent intermediate pipe welded up
but you should be fine
