lol iv heard that many times... iv considerd it also.. but right now that would cost to much considering, aprox 2000 for the engine... 1700 for the trany... and even after that the rear axel might not be able to handle the power.. so im just looking into some performance mods for this.. and i plan to purchase another camaro in the future

****, their are 4 bangers running around that have as much displacement as you. I would just save up for an engine swap. If you know what you are doing you could get the whole thing done for around $1200.

interesting... im still looking around for mods.. but cant seem to find the right ones, i bought some headmen headers a while back and got them jet hot coated and went to install them and they wouldnt fit.. not enough room on the sides.. so im thinking i have to pull the engine just to get them on... and that still leaves me with another problem.. the EGR lol i would have to tap a hole in the headers and do some custom work because if i dont.. it would never pass aircare.. and its just a big hassle. But im still looking...

My headman's had to go in from the bottom of the car even though it looked easier to get them in from the top!

hmm i cant really remember if i even tryed from the bottom :banghead: either way its going to be hard... and last week i had to replace the exhaust manifold gasket... major leak in it.. and i found one of the bolts is broken in the head.. flush against it i tryed to center punch it.. and i had this easy-out type thing from canadian tire it didnt work.. and i didnt wanna pull the head off to get the broken bolt.. so i slapped it back together with the broken bolt still in there

Perfect, now you have to take the heads off so get them done while they're off.
