I wonder how long production will run on the Camaro. I mean, with the current economy issues, one might thing itll get scrapped for something like the Cruze?

I think they waited to long to bring it back, I agree with todays economy I wouldn't plan on these being a big seller, a big right of course, but it will hurt GM more due to timing IMO.

my guess is 5 years. i don't think they can do less without losing too much money.

I believe you can order one now and production starts Feb. 16.
Full specs are at the Chevy web site.
The V6 with 300hp will help keep the car around, I don't think GM will sell as many as they hope.

I'm hardcore GM gut & ive had everything but caddy i think .I want to see the camaro but with all this down sizing i don't think it will happen. The mustang was n't as good a car as the last camaros but they went ok ,looked ok , & were cheaper which appealed to the youth market & even to some of us older guys . I often thought if i was a ford guy i would buy one.One of my major complaints is the pricing of parts at the gm dealership , i think the prices are on the whole to expensive , at least it sure seems like it out in the country where i live , anything pricey and i go to bumper to bumper in saskatoon and get it cheaper especially high price items & its ac -delco stuff. Any way that's my rant , i hope gm comes through this ok & we see a new affordable camaro, Less fancy more car . Later Bake

they are trying to hit a broader market for the camaro vs the mustang and thats why it has all that " fancy" stuff.

Gee and guess who's still making a sports car, ford that's who cause they struck with the k.i.s.s. theory plus they did the retro look thing at the correct time & kept it affordable. One thing i'm curious about is the profitability of the car plants in canada . I was reading somewhere that because we have public health care , and the states doesn't this is 1 advantage the canadian car makers have over their us brothers . thoughts any one or doesn't any one care eh ?

Well the mustangs still being built & the camaro ain't so there . Now if u want to get to the nitty gritty the only 2 true sports cars (of the big three) is the corvette & the viper . IMHO the camaro could also be called a sporty car .Thoughts ?? any way enough stirrring the pot , any comments on our manufacturing health in canada? R we as bad off as our U.S. counterparts? Comments any one? later bake
