3.4 manual rebuild

ive called a bunch of plces in milwaukee about rebuilding my 5speed on my 3.4....... they say they dont rebuild them...... Jasper has them for like $1800... i dontwanna have to spend 2 grand......and i cant find a junk yard around here with a manual for a 3.4....

anone know a place that would rebuild my tranny?? or a junk yard that has a manual tranny for my ride???...... my second gear and revers syncros are about to be completely shot.. they grind and pop out now.....

if they don't rebuild them there may be a reason, and a junkyard one you may be worse off than you are now. Have you checked cottman? maybe the places you talked to only do autos (I find 56 transmission rebuilders in the Milwaukee area)

same problem i had with my camaro...i just dropped the transmission off to be rebuilt about 30 minutes ago...i get it back friday hopefully....also i found on ebay that they have transmissions on there for i think it was 700 or 800 bucks for the 3.4L camaro....the only reason i didnt do that is because it was a used transmission that wasnt rebuilt...i had originally thought that it was a rebuilt trans, but it wasnt so i just decided to take a cheaper route and rebuild the transmission i have now...
Good luck,
Chris
