3.4 Twin Turbo ???
Well, one of my really good friends here in STL works at a performmce shop and he got a hold of two 3000GT VR4 turbos(i know they're small turbos but o well...) and he might be giving them to me. we were talking and decided to try and make a kit for my 94 3.4. Hes got the machine to bend pipes and when it comes to turboing a car hes very smart. Im wondering if anyone has heard or seen a 3.4 twin turbo camaro??

I would be in shock if someone has done this before. It's basicly because of money and the amount of work involved. If someone had the extra cash and the know how more than likely they would spend it on modifing a V8. Personally I say if you have the ability to get it done go for it! You will definitly be unique and I bet it could help get your car in the 13's at the track.
There use to be a guy years ago that built turbo kits for V6 FBodies. His personal '94 Firebird when low 13's with heads and his single turbo. Now he owns a Corvette, a twin turbo LS1 Trans Am, a stock LS1 Z28, and the old turbo'd bird now has a heads/cam LS1 in it.

The problem with the 3.4 is there are barely any supporting mods. A handfull of cams, ONE set of heads, no crank, etc. Its overall a pain. The problem with what hes talking about, is you'd be twin turbo'ing a stock 3.4, with who knows how much wear, effectively +50% of the stock hp, the likelyhood of tearing something up is almost guarenteed.

well on my old 3.4 i did a lot of research on mods, and i found almost nothing. it had such a short run nothing is made for it, like phate said. the intake is a horrible design, and that limits it. a guy who sometimes lurks around here did a top end swap with a 3400. that is the first start.
even with that though, the 3.4 is severely limited to making power.
although i dont wanna stop you from trying. if you wanna go for it, then go for it. you'd be better off puttin those turbos on a V8 though.
