youll need an adapter if you get a 3" inlet cause i'm pretty sure the V6s use a 2 1/2" intermediate pipe. if you're having a shop do it they'll just make the adjustments and weld it tho. btw why a 40s series, if u get an 80s series you'll have a tailpipe on each side in the back, w/ the 40s you'll have 2 on one side.

better than stock. Not as ricey as other exhuasts out there. It sounds pretty horrible at first, but after you break it in, it gets to have a pretty good note up until about 3K.

there's no breaking flowmasters in because there's no fiberglass packing like other mufflers, they're all metal inside, the sound stays the same regardless of how long you have it on.

i had an 80 series on my 6 too, it didn't sound all that good above 3k like mcgruff said but thats because i had no cat and just the muffler. flowmaster sells a catback for the v6s that has a resonator on it to deepen the overall tone and get rid of that ricy sound the 6s are known for, that kit comes with the 80s series. keeping the cat on will help the sound also

I just got the 80 series on today and im very happy with it. If you get a flowmaster dont get a full exhaust just go to a shop and have them put a 80 series muffler on with pipes and tips only cost me 270 bucks for it all and thats cheaper then BUYING the full cat-back. Youll love the sound of it even after 3k its not that bad espically compared to a civic or some crap.

Glad to see you got your exhaust. Just give it like... 2 weeks, you'll DEFINETALLY notice it sounding better and better. i was so dissapointed when i forst got mine on, but then after a few weeks i started liking it more and more.

I already don't have a cat, and I wasn't plannin on puttin one on so...Idk. I think I'm gonna go up to the muffler shop and talk to him for a little while to see what he thinks and what he can do for me. Even if the 40 series comes out both on one side I'm sure there is somethin he can do.

I Have the whole cat-back american thunder 80 series with the resonator and all, it sounds real good. Yea yous are right it starts to get a lil raspy in the higher rpms. The sound does deepen after you have them installed a while.
