4th gen to 1st gen?
Does anyone know if there is a kit or a way to convert a 93-97 lt1 to a 1st gen. what i would like to do is have 4th gen engine drivetrain but 1st gen body and interior.

Actually a company has just releases a 'body kit' that you use on your 4th gen Camaro that uses 1st gen panels. I know at first it sounds gay but judging from the pictures it looks pretty good!!
I don't know the price, but I know you have to add 8" of chassis length to car so the wheel base is the same as the first gen.
But given the going price for a decent 69 these days, it might be cheaper to get an LS1 and slap on the 69 body. You have the look of ancient muscle with the benefits of modern day convience.

Bottom line- if you want the look of a 69 that you actually aren't embarressed to drive- expect an EASY 25-30 grand to get it no matter which way you go.
These days its the car to have and the going prices for them prove it.

There's a lot more to it than what the article put in though- just lengthing the body alone would be a ton of work!

My dream Camaro would be either a '67, '68, or '69 (all have their good and bad looks to them). With an LS7. Probably a '69 just because you could buy them with a 427ci V8 so it would be a kind of tribute. But with more power
