Sounds like a ZL1 then but I didn't know the convertible or the anniversary car got these engines.

There were no ZL1 convertibles made, the ZL1's were made from converted B4C's.
Maybe he purchased it as a Tom Henry Package, or diick Harrell package |

Yea but you could order out of 3 differnt phase for them, 400hp,475hp?, and the 600hp. Anyone with a LS1 can call GMMG and get a upgrade to those a friend here with 2 35th aniv is sending his in for a phase 2 upgrade (475hp) on one and the other gets a phase 3(600hp).

the 35th anniversary package was a 380 hp version (it was a conversion also)

http://www.dickharrell.com/2002camaro.html closest thing i could find they say there goig to make a 630 hp one and i thinki saw it in some magazine somewhere... but not convertible
