94 Z28 problems starting

the clicking sounds insures that the fuel is being supplied to the injectors to prep your engine for the start most people dont know that you really need to wait a few secs after you turn the key befor you turn it the rest of the way just to let fuel get to the engine to allow a good clean start. Its a comon reason for rough starts not saying its yours just the most simple cause thought i would through it out there for you.

the fuel pump is on for about 5 seconds (the clicking is the relay shutting it off) the thing with fuel injection is it should hold pressure when off, if it loses pressure, you have something wrong-fuel pump-injector-or regulator

I agree with the holding pressure but from my 2 years of auto school i would still have to say the the clicking is turning the pump on and it is herd right after the key goes to the on position. And pressure dosent mean much if you jump in and turn the car directly over with out giving the pump a chance to kick in. But i could of been taught wrong too my teachers did seam alittle out of it some times i think im going to look into it now thanks for the input.
