guess no one is curious of what I am possibly putting in.....

You should get rid of the old 327 for a new highly techincal 1.6 Liter VTech motor to get some real power.

korndogg 10-05-2005 02:05 AM

you should get kicked in the balls just for saying that.

You could do that but since I'm so weak I normally cry like a little girl until the other person feels so dispised by me they walk away. That's when I hit them with a bat in the back of their head.

Hey, you've seen me. I could never win a fight.

korndogg 10-05-2005 02:35 AM

Sinister95Z 10-05-2005 05:05 AM

what kinda engine you looking at?

a 327 can be built to make more power than a similar 350 (alomst as much as the chevy 302 can) the short stroke is better for hp (hurts torque a little though)

Mike Jones 10-05-2005 10:26 AM

Wow, I guess no one cares Mark. But they should because it's an awesome engine you're checking out.

korndogg 10-05-2005 11:55 AM

im lookin at a 454. Im just not too sure about it now cause its a truck block. The truck blocks have a **** load of torque but not so much hp. so I dunno yet.

You can always work on that after you get it. I'm sure it'll make more than your 327 and let's be honest, torque is just plain fun to have.

korndogg 10-05-2005 12:24 PM

well i think they have about 230hp and around 400 ft/lbs of torque.

Put a nice cam and port the heads. You'll lose torque but you'll gain horsepower.

korndogg 10-05-2005 12:36 PM

grrrrr I dunno what to do...some people are saying to spend the money on the 327 and some are saying to get the 454 lol....fawk

Mike Jones 10-05-2005 12:48 PM

Do you have to give the guy an answer soon? I'd say research both as much as possible and see what the costs would be on both and what kind of hp/tq you'd be looking at. Personally I'd get the 454 and go from there but it's up to you.
