Alternator
okay, Very long story short,
My alt isnt working, i replaced it, still isnt working, everything is hooked up, i had a problem once thought i fixed it but maybe not, the two wires that go to the alt as one connector. ones a ground and other is black and goes to? regulator? well on my alt the two wire prong things that the connector hook to i believe theres a R and F. which is which? the black wire which i believe goes to the regulator or something only has juice when the key is in the "ON" posistion. + and - wires are hooked up..

alternator should have a main battery cable, a wire to excite the regulator, and one for the gauge usually. There shouldn't be a ground wire, it's grounded through the body, if you ground a wire you fry the diodes in the regulator
