I have problems when I run my system, AC, Headlights, wipers, my volts drop to about just below 12 . I was thinking of switching my alternator on my I-Roc with the one on my car?? is the one on the 89 I-Roc put out more amps???? does anyone have the specs on 84 and 89 alternator?? I am sure the 89 has a higher amp rating!
Also I might get a optima battery I belive they have lifetime warrentys

if it's dropping have it tested (most places do that free) just to make sure it's not battery, more than likely the alternator is puking both should be about the same probably about 95 amps

That is wierd the on my I-roc is more rounded and the one on my car is like a box . I replaced it about 5 months ago and my car doesnt have the orignal pully set up on it so I am pretty sure that the alternator on my car is off of a early 80's truck?? the guy pulled it up for my camaro and it wasnt the same thing as what came off my car so he just went and found the on that matched

does it go back up? could be a short or alternator going or just the garbage factory gauge
