I don't have one because of my stereo but yes they do work for a couple extra hp. Not really worth it to me but a lot of people do have them.

I just noticed you put this in the V6 section... I dont think they work with V6s, as it says LS1 on there anyway.

Paar is correct, there is only one company that I am aware of that makes a kit for the 3.8's.

they will work, but only if you shut off all accessories (aka no heat, or a/c or blower, no lights, no radio, or anything else that draws power) it makes the alternator spin slower making less power for that stuff, it takes 13 volts to have the ignition and pcm work at their best. Basically really good on a strip car, bad for street

if you think it will give 13 hp, then you also must believe the 25hp from switching to a new air filter, usually it is worth about 2-5hp, 13 would be if you have a huge aftermarket alternator that puts out 300 amps

thats what is said on the site...dyno proven what ever...I didnt say that it gives 13hp. I know realisticly, the lid, filter, and bellows, descreened MAF only prob had a gain of 5 to 10 hp not 25 magical hp! would be cool though if it did,

the companies all boast huge gains, because noone can prove otherwise (k&n used to claim the 25hp increase)
