anyone know what this is off of?

well i was working on my car today ( running like crap AGAIN, and again its the plug wires..) one of them has a crack and was sparking against the master cylinder. anyways on with what this is about.. i found this (pics below) on my drivers side fender.. all it is is a diode off something but i can't figure out what i looked around to see if anything was missing somthing but couldnt see anything.. ideas?





it looks like somthing plugs into it.. or pops onto somthing but im not sure

thats the only wire that hooks to the A/c compressor right?
I know its for the compressor i have the same thing..
