Auto Scanner's

I'm looking at getting a AutoScanner. I had the ignition module go out on tuesday and it cost me a pretty penny to get it fixed. If I had known that it was the ignition module I could have done it myself for a 1/4 of the cost. I don't know if having this scanner would have told me that was the problem or not since I have not used one.

I am looking at the Actron CP9145 Super AutoScanner.

Has anybody used this one or can you suggest any others?

Thanks for any info on this.

Better off buying a scan master.

So would this scanner have told me that it was the ignition module that had gone bad by a code and then I would have to look it up in the service manual? :eleph:

It looks like the ScanMaster is only made for the LT1 or LS1. I have the L32 3.4L.

nope the scanner won't tell you a thing about the module, even the tester for them doesn't work.I always keep an extra in my toolbox for testing
