BC4
so i am looking at a 2002 BC4 with 65000 miles on it , if i was to freshen up the motor and trans , could it take a little more supercharger boost than a regular ls1? with the extra cooling mods it comes with does it make sense that since the enemy of boosted engines is heat the more cooling mods would help ?
yeah
so 8-9 pounds of boost is safe ?
i suppose it would be with supporting mods to make the engine run cooler or w/e like you said. im no expert on boost...so i honestly dont know but it should work
i would say it wouldn't make a difference but that's just me
oil cooler , trans cooler , cant rember the other one , dont come on the reg camaros, so i thought it would help with a little extra boost over the others
oil cooler and trans cooler i don't see how a supercharger that runs off the motor would be able to run more than normal. okay sounds like your tranny may run better but i don't think your motor difference would be much
either way i would totally buy a BC4 especially if it only had 65000 miles :)
It won't be able to handle more boost than a normal Z28.
Basicly the B4C is a Z28 with no badging, higher output alternator and battery, and larger sway bars. |
always heard that cooler the engine the more boost you can run , so oil cooler is a plus i would guess, alosr the silcone hoses i think are cooler
I know the oil cooler comes on LT1's, someone here did an article on how to bypass it. Not sure about LS1's tho.
why
why would you wanna bypass oil cooler?
