All the LS1 cars (98+) got a new Bosch ABS system, and bigger front rotors (12" I believe, 93-97 is a 11" fronts) with a dual piston front caliper. The rears have a drum style e-brake and different rear caliper.

The 98+ Z's have bigger diameter rotors-
If you want to upgrade your rear brakes, just find someone parting out a Z and pick up the rear brake parts- should set you back around $150-200 for plates, calipers, cables ext..

the problem is finding a Z in the junk yard. last time i went looking for a part i found three in a town of 100,000ish and they were all 3.8's lucky for me it was only a swaybar but still it is not easy to come by a Z in the junker
