Brake Question

If i were to get new rotors for my camaro does it make a huge difference from the V6 to V8? really i have no clue what i should get..so what are some suggestions?>

Well, as per the front brakes there is no difference. They are disc brakes that should be the exact same as the v8. But of course the rear are drum brakes...

i know they are drum on the rear but like what should i get for the fronts i guess is what i was trying to say?>

All the LS1 cars (98+) got a new Bosch ABS system, and bigger front rotors (12" I believe, 93-97 is a 11" fronts) with a dual piston front caliper. The rears have a drum style e-brake and different rear caliper.

The 98+ Z's have bigger diameter rotors-

If you want to upgrade your rear brakes, just find someone parting out a Z and pick up the rear brake parts- should set you back around $150-200 for plates, calipers, cables ext..

yeah and many of us have done the rear drum to disc swap on a 93-96 v6 f body so we can help you out.

the problem is finding a Z in the junk yard. last time i went looking for a part i found three in a town of 100,000ish and they were all 3.8's lucky for me it was only a swaybar but still it is not easy to come by a Z in the junker
