broken rearend

ok heres how it went, A buddy of mine and me were cruzzin around the rewoods becasue I got my car out of the shop a week ago, well I wanted to do a couple power brakes sooo I did... On my 3rd pass when I dropped the clutch at about 3 grand the car like made a really loud bangg sound then it wouldnt go forward at all??? so I go to back it up and it rolls for like 5 feet and stops like it hit something and thats as fas as it would go.. hmmmm call a tow truck took it to the shop again after I just got it out after it was there for a month.. anyways I went down there this morning with my dad and the yoke cover was off of the rearend and the guy shows us with a light that the limit slit is tore out and 3rd memmber?? or soemthing is broken and maybe the axles too also a couple of the little gears teeth are missing :banghead:

so I guess they are going to look up a total rehaul on the rearend.
and how much it would cost for a new one out of a crashed z28 .

that's what happens when you power brake(which really show nothing since a 3 cylinder geo could do it if rwd)

still around 2 grand, or call jegs and get just the carrier and upgrade axles (the replacement rear ends will eliminate the junk c clips)

not really hurt anything. For a pro to do it should be a couple hours on a lift, for say you to do it in the driveway about 6 hours or so not real hard with the right tools
