Actually looking at it now... how was your oil a quart and a half low? I thought the sensor for the light triggers are like a quart at most? Mine does anyway.

i was thinking somethin like that. or the engine was still hot and the oil hadn't all gone down to the pan yet or somethin so the dipstick read lower then it actually had
