Cardone Water Pump Install
The Tear Down
New Water Pump
The Tear Down Part Two- Replaced lower belt, cleaned up the front of the engine
Put it back together
My car feels like its brand new again, new Thermostat, Water Pump and Belt, cleaned my Throttle Body, there was so much gunk on the back side it wasnt even funny and it I noticed I gained alot more power back now that the motor isnt over heating and that the new pump is way better then factory.

thanks, it only took 4 hours to do it, it was very easy, I thought it was going to be hard, the only hard part was the stupid paper gaskets were melted to the block, scraping them off took an hour of time, then we used a scrubby pad and buffed out the scratches, the new gaskets were metal with rubber rings which are way better then the crappy paper ones, it wasnt even paper anymore ahaha. other wise it was a painless install. I ran the car last night and it hooked up hard.
Apon inspection, no rust, the coolant was pure orange, no oil in the coolant, my engine is clean as hell, the radiator has no rust comming from it. I was going to use radiator treatment but it didnt need it, I properly burped the system of all the air in the system.

yea, Well I didnt do it alone, my dad helped me because installing those belts with out someone holding the tensioners would have been impossible lol, it was a father and son project, so I can't take all of the credit, but I pretty much took it all apart and reassembled it myself.

long story short.... i had a bad alternator post one time in my car and i was going to get it fixed, about 20 minutes from my house. i was gonna drive the car there, pull the alternator off and have it repaired, (the car was still driveable but the post was getting loose inside the alternator so it needed to be pulled apart and fixed, so i was going to an automotive electric shop) i get like 2/3's of the way there and the car starts stumbling and dies in the middle of a main rd. 45mph road at 10am. i get out, push the car into the nearest train station parking lot, pull the alternator off my car by myself. luckily i had all the tools to do it since i was planning on doing it myself.(what had happened was as i was driving it got looser and losser until it fell out and the car wouldnt run obviously until i got it back in somehow, which required getting it fixed like i planned.) so i pull the alternator off by myself,(dont know how the hell i got the belt off, this is the point in my story, lol) and i walked like 3 miles in 95* weather to get god knows how heavy alternator fixed. i seriously worked the hell out of my arms carrying that thing.lol. BTW i got to the tensioner from the top of the engine(no jackstands) and the engine was redhot from being in 95* heat for the last 15 minutes of driving around. what a PITA. just thought id share my cool belt tensioner story. back to your WP.
very nice story, yea the tensioner pullies are a bitch to hold in place while you have to put the belt on, old belts will be easier because the belts have been stretched out a bit, but putting a new one on wasnt to bad, just remember under then over for the bottem belt lol.
